1 Responsibility for data processing
1.1 The data controller is KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD, based in Brussels, Belgium.
As such, KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD determines the purposes and the technical and legal means of processing personal data and undertakes to take all the necessary organizational measures to guarantee secure processing that complies with the Law of December 8, 1992 on the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter, “the Law”) and the European Regulation of April 26, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter, the GDPR Regulation).
1.2. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD is free to choose any individual or legal entity that processes users’ personal data at its request and on its behalf. Where applicable, KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD undertakes to select a subcontractor offering sufficient guarantees with regard to technical and organizational security measures for the processing of personal data.
2. Processing of personal data
2.1. Use of the site and access to some of its sections or any request for information or services from users may entail the communication of personal data. The processing of this personal data by KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD in its capacity as data controller will comply with the law and the GDPR Regulation.
2.2. This Privacy Policy is intended to ensure that users are aware of how KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD treats personal data before they access the various sections of the Site and communicate their personal data. The user must familiarize himself/herself with them before communicating his/her personal data by filling in the forms provided for this purpose in the various sections of the Site.
2.3 Personal data is mainly processed automatically, with procedures strictly linked to the purposes mentioned in point 3.
2.4. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD also collects certain personal data from users in order to recognize them and provide them with an optimal user experience. The collection of this data makes it possible to correct any errors on the Site. The information collected includes IP address, geographical area, day and time of consultation, pages visited and the device from which the connection was made.
2.5. Any omission, partial or inaccurate information on personal data, marked with an asterisk, and therefore necessary for the execution of the requested service, makes the latter impossible. On the other hand, any omission, partial or inaccurate information on optional personal data that is not required does not entail any consequences.
3. Purposes of personal data processing
3.1. According to the different sections of the site, the purposes of the processing of personal data will be as follows:
- Authorize the user to register on the site, as in some cases authorization is required to access specific sections or services of the site;
- With the prior consent of the user and until such consent is revoked, to interact with the user by sending newsletters offering information, advice, promotions and news about the company (see the “Subscribe to newsletter” section of the site);
- Respond to users’ requests relating to products and services (“Contact us” section of the site).
4. Cookies

5. Personal data likely to be processed
The following data are collected and processed:
User information provided by filling in forms or contacting us by e-mail or any other means. This information may include users’ names, addresses, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.
For each visit to the site, we automatically collect the following information:
- Technical information, including IP address used to connect, browser type, time zone, browser plug-in types, operating system and platform;
- Information on user visits, including URLs, page response times, download errors, duration of visits to certain pages; such as scrolling, clicks and hovers.
6. Consent
6.1. The user has the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may exercise this right by sending an e-mail to gdpr@karamatcosmetics.com
7. Retention period of personal data
In accordance with the legal requirements imposed by the GDPR Act and Regulation, KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD retains users’ personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to enable the purposes for which it is processed to be fulfilled…
8. Communication of users’ personal data for internal purposes
8.1. Personal data may be transmitted to employees or collaborators of the Marketing Department of KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD who, operating under the direct authority of KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD, are appointed as data processors or subcontractors and will receive the appropriate operational instructions. Personal data may also be made known to employees or collaborators of the persons in charge if the latter, appointed by KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD, so decide, provided that such data is processed in accordance with the purposes pursued.
8.2. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD ensures that its employees or collaborators guarantee the same level of protection as KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD, and that these employees or collaborators process personal data only for the purposes authorized by the purposes pursued, with the required discretion and security.
9. Recognized user rights
9.1. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees fair and lawful processing of users’ personal data.
9.2. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees the right of access to the user’s personal data. In accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR Regulation, the user has the right to obtain from KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD the following information (but not exhaustive) concerning his/her personal data:
a) the purposes of the processing;
b) the categories of personal data concerned;
c) how long personal data will be kept and the criteria used to determine this period;
9.3. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees the right of rectification and deletion of personal data to the user.
In accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR Regulation, incorrect or inaccurate data can be corrected or deleted at any time. It is the user’s responsibility to make the necessary changes themselves from their user account in the first instance, and then to ask KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD to make these changes if they cannot be made on their own.
The user has the right to obtain the deletion of his personal data in the hypotheses listed in Article 17 of the GDPR Regulation.
9.4. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees the right to limit processing. The user has the right to obtain the limitation of the processing of his/her personal data in the hypotheses listed in Article 18 of the GDPR Regulation.
9.5. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees the right to data portability.
In accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR Regulation, users have the right to receive their personal data from KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. They also have the right to transfer this data to another data controller without KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD hindering this in the cases provided for by the GDPR Regulation.
9.6. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees the right to object to the processing of data The user has the right at any time to object to the processing of his/her personal data when there are legitimate reasons relating to a particular situation.
9.7. KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD guarantees the right to lodge a complaint The user has the right to lodge a complaint concerning the processing of his/her personal data by KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD with the Commission de la Protection de la Vie Privée, the competent body for the Belgian territory.

10. Limitation of liability of the data controller
The Site may contain hypertext links to websites controlled and operated by third parties unrelated to KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD. Where applicable, KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD cannot be held responsible for the content of these sites, nor for the personal data protection practices of these third parties.
KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD cannot be held responsible for loss, corruption of data or identity theft, which may be caused in particular, but not exclusively, by the presence of viruses or computer attacks.
The Site does not contain information intended for KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD in the absence of parental consent. Consequently, KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD invites all persons exercising parental authority over minors to inform them about safe and responsible use of the Internet.
11. Modifying the user’s profile

12. Modification of the Privacy Policy
KARAMAT COSMETICS LTD reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy in order to comply with the obligations set forth in legislation protecting privacy or in order to adapt it to its practices. The user is therefore invited to consult the Privacy Policy on a regular basis in order to take note of any changes or adaptations.
